About plastic surgeon clinic
What is Plastic Surgery?
Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the human body. Aesthetic surgery is the part of Plastic Surgery in which the principal purpose is to improve the appearance.
Our look is important
Many people , or to be honest almost everybody have a body feature that they would like to improve. They may think their nose is big, their body disproportionate, their breast unattractive, their face aged and so on… That doesn’t mean they are not normal, or they have a mental disorder. Wanting to change your looks to be more proportional is something that relates to very ancient genes that relate with “nature choice”, but that’s a discussion we will go into some other time….
Every year thousands of people visit plastic surgeons around the world to find out whether their need of change make sense and is doable. About half of them will finally choose to undergo a plastic surgery procedure and one third will do another one in the near future.
The last 3 decades there is an explosion of publicity exposure in plastic surgery. One simple way to explain this is that when we look better we feel better. Psychology studies have scientifically proved that a better look is directly related with higher self confidence. So despite common belief its not “vanity” that attracts people to plastic surgery.
Two other factors also relate with the ever increasing popularity of plastic surgery. Cost is not an issue for patients as it used to be and the advent of technology allows for minimal invasive surgery that leads to quicker recovery.
Is Plastic Surgery right for you?
There is no doubt that realistic expectations is the key to success. at the end of the day improving our looks although its a major self-confidence booster can not alter our whole life. Yoy can not be someone else, will not fix a broken relationship , will not get you a new job.
Motivation must come from within yourself. It shouldn’ t relate with a friends recommendation, it shouldn’ t fulfil somebody else’ s needs …
Don’ t let yourself be trapped in any media “recommendations” , contact your plastic surgeon and discuss your goals. Any surgeon then will offer you a plan that will involve surgical method, recovery instructions and cost. If all fit and make sense to you then go for it …
